Little Demon

"Laura Feinberg," voiced by Aubrey Plaza, is a single mom haunted by a tryst with the literal devil that left her pregnant thirteen years ago, and has been on the run ever since. Fearing her past will catch up with her, she moves from suburb to suburb with her daughter Chrissy. Unfortunately, Laura’s fears are well founded.&nbsp;After Chrissy expresses her demonic powers inherited from her father, Satan locates his demon seed. Now that the Devil knows their location, and Chrissy demands to stay in town, Laura must begrudgingly share custody with the man she hates more than anything, while being stuck in suburbia, staying still for the first time in years. She tries to suppress her conflicted feelings about parenthood and her aversion to relinquishing control, but these impulses shine through despite her best efforts.

Plaza is a versatile actress and producer who has been critically praised for her choices and performances in drama and comedy.&nbsp;Plaza received rave reviews out of the 2022 Sundance Film Festival for starring as “Emily” in&nbsp;Emily the Criminal. The film, which she produced under her Evil Hag Productions Company, will be released by Roadside Attractions on August 12, 2022. Additionally, she will appear in the ensemble,&nbsp;Spin Me Round, which premiered at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival and will be released by IFC on August 19.Plaza will next star in Guy Ritchie’s&nbsp;Operation Fortune: Rue De Guerre. And she is currently&nbsp;in production on Season 2 of Mike White’s&nbsp;The White Lotus&nbsp;for HBO.&nbsp;Plaza received critical acclaim for starring in the suspenseful meta-drama,&nbsp;Black Bear, which she produced and premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The story follows “Kristtörn,” the forgotten sister of “Santa Claus,” and was distributed by Penguin Random House in 2021.&nbsp;The sequel,&nbsp;The Return of the Christmas Witch, will be released on October 11, 2022.Plaza hosted and produced the&nbsp;Film Independent Spirit Awards in 2019 and 2020.
