The Full Monty

Uberto Pasolini founded Redwave Films in 1993. The company’s first produced feature film was Palookaville, starring Vincent Gallo and directed by Alan Taylor.Subsequently, the company produced The Full Monty, which grossed over $250 million worldwide, won a BAFTA® for Best Film and was nominated for four Oscars®, amongst numerous other accolades.Pasolini’s other credits as producer include The Closer You Get, written by acclaimed writer William Ivory, The Emperor’s New Clothes, starring Ian Holm, and Bel Ami, starring Robert Pattinson.Pasolini’s directorial debut Machan, which he also co-wrote and produced, went on to win numerous international festival awards, including the Label Europa Cinemas Award for Best European film at Venice Film Festival, Audience Awards for Best Film at the Kerala, Transylvania and Amsterdam Film Festivals and Best Screenplay at the Durban International Film Festival.In 2013, Pasolini wrote, produced and directed Still Life, set in South London and starring Eddie Marsan and Joanne Froggatt. Shortlisted amongst the best European films by the European Film Academy in 2014, the film won numerous awards including Best Director - Orizzonti Category at the 2013 Venice Film Festival; Best Film at the Reykjavik, St. Louis and Volgoda International Film Festivals; Best Film/Audience Award in Transylvania, Nara, Riga and Trondheim; the prestigious Best Foreign Film 2014 Hochi Award in Japan; and Best Performance in a British Feature Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, amongst others.In 2019, Pasolini wrote, directed and produced Nowhere Special, starring James Norton and introducing Daniel Lamont. The film had its premiere at the 2020 Venice Film Festival and was released worldwide.
